Doggy day care:
Leave Fido with me if you're planning a long-day out – drop off in the morning and pick up in the evening.

Your dog's home away from home – whether an overnight trip or a week or two's holiday – let me take care of your furry best friend.
From £35 per night (discounted rate for a second dog)

Pop-in home visits:
I can pop in to check on, feed and interact with your cat or other small animal. Available in the Swaythling, West End area.

About me

I'm Charlotte, and this is Storm.Storm is chief welcomer and everyone’s best friend. Storm can’t wait to welcome new friends to stay and play. She’s an excellent big sister to all dogs she meets. Her favourite hobby is canicross with her dad. You can follow her on Instagram at thatdogstorm.I did animal care and veterinary science at college, and throughout my life I've owned and cared for more dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, lizards and chickens than I can count.I'm also an experienced dog fosterer with Phoenix Rehoming. Foster pups are cared for and loved until they find their forever homes. Some stay for a short while and others stay for a bit longer to rehabilitate and learn that not all people are bad.I love my dog more than anything in the world. I know you do, too, so I promise to give them the love and care they deserve.

Owner agreement / Terms and Conditions

I confirm permission for my dog to reside at Paws In Comfort at 34 Claudeen Close, Southampton, SO18 2HQ for the duration of the contract and understand that there may also be dogs from other households present.I understand that Paws In Comfort has resident dogs and I agree to bring my dog to a trial visit to familiarise the dog with the resident dog(s). This will also be an opportunity to inspect the premises and ask any questions.If Paws in Comfort is boarding more than 1 dog from my home I confirm that my dogs can be isolated together if alone time is needed from resident or other boarding dogs. (If dogs from the same home need to be isolated separately details will be given).I confirm I have seen a copy of Paws I Comfort’s licence to board.I understand 20% of the total fees are payable on booking and are non-refundable if cancelled less than 2 weeks before commencement of the boarding. The remaining balance is payable on the day of commencement of boarding.If a visit to our home is required for welfare checks and walking I give permission to hold keys for the duration of the contract.I will provide a sufficient supply of my dogs regular food with full instructions on how to administer it. If I have not provided enough food more will be purchased with fees incurred. If my dog has not eaten for a period of 24hrs I will be contacted and veterinary advice will be taken with fees incurred.I give permission for Paws In Comfort to walk my dog a minimum of 2 walks per day on a lead. I understand that my dog may be walked either alone or with other dogs. Elder and infirm dogs that cannot walk will be provided with other mental stimulation within the home through play with toys, people interaction and food treat toys. If the dog is usually walked in a dog pram I will provide it.My dog will always be treated with love and care. I understand that Paws In Comfort only uses positive reinforcement and reward based training techniques. Bad behaviour will be ignored. Dogs will not be punished in a way that will cause harm or discomfort.I give permission for my dog to be groomed, bathed and brushed if required for example if it becomes dirty on a walk.I give permission for my dog to be transported in the Paw in Comfort vehicle for veterinary treatment or to be taken to be exercised. My dog will be restrained by harness and will travel in the car boot behind a dog guard. My dog will never be left unattended in the vehicle.My dog will not be left alone without human company for any longer than 3 in 24 hours.In weather extremes my dog will be kept as cool as possible in the summer with the use of fans and in the winter as warm as possible with the heating. Temperatures will not exceed 10’C-26’C.I will provide a copy of an up to date vaccination record and understand that if my dog is not vaccinated they will not be able to stay.I will not board my dog if it has any signs of untreated or contagious illnesses.I will provide any specialised grooming and bedding products for my dog if required.I will list all the items I have left with my dog to provide comfort and daily care. These items will be returned with my dog upon collection.My dog’s behaviour will be monitored daily. Any changes in behaviour will be recorded.My dog will be checked daily for ill health and I give permission for basic first aid to be provided for example administering wormer if worms are found, flea treatment if fleas are found, wiping weepy eyes, cleaning dirty ears, removing ticks, trimming overgrown nails, and any regular medications listed on the medical form. I the owner will be liable for any costs incurred.If at any point my dog requires veterinary assistance I will be notified and he/she will be taken immediately. I understand that as the owner I will be liable for any veterinary costs incurred. Permission is given to see my regular vet listed or Paws In Comfort’s regular vet whichever is agreed upon in the booking form. I agree Paws In Comfort can administer any medication prescribed. I agree to continue as instructed with the medication on return home. If euthanasia is recommended this will be discussed me and will only be performed if agreed upon and only by a registered vet. All illnesses, vet visits, changes in health will be recorded.
